Risk adjustment is a team sport. Accurately depicting the complexity of a broad patient population across your organization requires contributions from patient registration to providers—and everyone in between, including well-trained risk adjustment coding and outpatient CDI professionals.
Cohesive teams that follow the same playbook and work together toward a common goal will succeed in this challenging environment. That’s why we launched the Norwood Outpatient CDI Boot Camp.
This one-of-a-kind offering takes you beyond the classroom with at-the-elbow follow up and chart review by our diverse team of certified experts. Pre- and post-assessments and office hours calls make the education stick.

What makes the Norwood Outpatient CDI Boot Camp different?
Our material goes beyond the theoretical and gets implemented in practice. We do this through a combination of the following:
- Pre- and post-assessments. We provide a pre-boot camp assessment to determine your team’s level of baseline proficiency, then perform a second assessment at conclusion to measure progress.
- Multiple instructors. We send a multidisciplinary team including nurses and coding professionals to deliver education and support.
- Hands-on record review. Following Week 1 education we provide at-the-elbow support in Week 2, including 1:1 shadowing with our instructors and your coding/CDI team.
- Office Hours calls. Have questions that crop up after class? Get them answered in our instructor-led virtual office hours.
Who should attend
- Outpatient CDI specialists
- Outpatient CDI leadership
- Risk adjustment coders
- Coding leadership
- Population health
- Ambulatory operations
- System directors
- Educators
Don’t take our word for it. In a recent client survey:
- 100% of participants reported our speakers’ knowledge and presentation skills met and/or exceeded expectations
- 96% of participants reported content and resources materials met or exceeded expectations
- 96% of participants found the quality of the learning environment met or exceeded expectations
Here’s what some attendees had to say:
- “After being through previous boot camps that were disappointing as well as frustrating, this one was fantastic. I’ve come to peace with the gray areas of CDI over the past six years and understand every one of us is still learning the nuances of ambulatory CDI – having all four consultants be so competent/knowledgeable was a huge benefit to the newer CDS/coders.”
- “Can I say all of it? But seriously, I enjoyed it all. I loved the breakdown of everything, the fact our questions did not go unanswered was huge. I love that you gave a breakdown of each category and the definitions along with signs, symptoms, testing and treatment. Also, the coding clinic links are so helpful! I wish I had this education before I took my CRC. I feel as though this will help a lot of other team members with their CRC exam.”
- “Overall, I was impressed with the organization, presentation, and knowledge that the Norwood team brought. The materials were very helpful and well made.”
