Trauma Registrar

Needing a remote trauma registrar who can train a new member as well
4-6 months

Certifications needed CSTR and CAISS
Level III trauma
ACS Verified; about to come into their 18 month reporting window; window ends at end of June and survey is in September
1500 trauma cases last year (most being geriatric falls, hips, bones, etc…)
working remotely through Citrix, will need familiarity using Epic
Image Trend

• Enters data into Image Trend trauma registry following the American College of Surgeons Resources for Optimal Care of the Injured Patient 2022 Standards

and enters cases into Midas
Work schedule is M-F 8-4:30 EST

Responsibilities
•
The trauma registrar collects data from the patients medical record to provide valid and reliable patient information in accordance with the published standards
•
They also aid in identifying trends in data and quality to provide improvement opportunities in care

He/ She will also assist the registry with concurrent data abstracting, analysis, and report development while monitoring outcomes to ensure quality and timely care
•
Facilitating progress towards trauma and burn regulatory and trauma center quality goals by developing strategies, improvement plans and presentations consistent with improvement
•
Establishing and maintaining open and positive working relationships with physicians, nurses, allied leaders and team members
•
Working in the practice environment to identify process and practice opportunities for improvement
•
Participating in the planning and implementation of new technologies and procedures that support or enhance quality and patient safety activities
•
Entering/Submitting quality improvement data to meet trauma and burn regulatory standards
