Specialty: E/M levels, Modifiers, Procedure Coding, Global Surgical Package (Professional) and Associated Modifiers including ASC, Incident-to Billing, Part B Drugs and Infusion, In-Office Diagnostics and Testing (e.g., imaging, lab, sleep studies), Time-based Care Management Services, Dermatology (including Pathology and Cosmetic), Preventive/Wellness (Exams, Vaccines, OB Global Package)
Engagement Type (FT/PT): Full time
Remote or Travel: Remote
Required Credentials: AAPC or AHIMA;
Systems: Athena (and potentially TouchWorks)
Additional Details:
– Excel: High usage of Excel and must be able to enter data accurately and move within Excel without errors and with minimum guidance.
– Productivity Varies (e.g., surgery is lower than E/M); avg 5+ encounters/hour
– Testing: Yes – OP/Ambulatory/ProFee
– Additional: Auditing and estimated 2,000 encounters for:
– Accuracy and Missed Coding Opportunity (multiple specialty focus areas as noted above)
– Supporting Evidence of Findings, as necessary
– Compliant Documentation and Coding (e.g., CPT, E/M, HCPCS, ICD-10, etc.)
– E/M Levels and Impact
– Modifier Usage
– Timing
