Pro Fee Coder -Cardiac/General Surgery needed

Assigns appropriate ICD and CPT codes for reimbursement and statistical purposes. Follows ICD, CPT, CMS and other regulatory coding guidelines. Abstracts clinical information from medical records for complete and accurate statistical documentation

Uses 3M and Epic

• Flexible scheduling including weekends if coder prefers (training will need to be normal M-F business hours)
• Specialties include:  Cardiology, CT surgery, Vascular Surgery, general surgery
• Hospital based E/Ms 
• Surgical CPTs for heart and vascular procedures
• Epic EMR, Professional Billing WQs; 3M encoder is not interfaced but we do have it in standalone for assistance (epic experience not required, will train the right candidate)
• AHIMA or AAPC credentials (no CPC-A)
• E/M Productivity is 15 an hour; With Surgical Coding 12 an hour
