We are looking for a remote-based Risk Adjustment Auditor. This role requires detailed knowledge of ICD-10 Official Guidelines and methodologies involved with Medicare Risk Adjustment (MRA). The Auditor will review validation of HCCs based on project specifications; provide feedback to ensure best coding practices; and maintain quality and production standards. The ideal individual will have experience with multiple risk models including CMS-HCC and ACA, knowledge of AHA Coding Clinic, ability to switch project types, and be able to quickly implement unique guidelines as necessary. This position is 100% remote and W2 status.
Responsibilities:

Audit/validate ICD-10-CM risk adjustment code capture as applicable.

Provide routine feedback to ensure quality standards are maintained.

Provide education to coders for quality enhancement where applicable.

Meet or exceed quality and production standards as required.

Full Time Schedule (40 hours/week) OR Part Time Schedule (20 hours/week) considered.
Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of production-based RA coding with at least 2 years in RA auditing.

Experience with multiple risk models (CMS, ACA, etc.) preferred.

CRC, CCS, CPC preferred AND minimum 5 years of total production-based RA coding with at least 2 years of that in production RA auditing.

Ability to shift between guidelines per project needs.

Experience with Excel, EMRs, and Encoders.

Computer skills proficiency – MS Windows, MS Office (including Excel), Teams, Internet, etc.

High Speed Internet access.
Skills Needed:

Extensive knowledge of ICD-10-CM guidelines and risk adjustment methodologies.

Reliability and determination to meet standards as expected.

Discipline and dedication to succeed while working remotely with minimal oversight.
