We are looking for a remote-based Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC). This role will require the ability to follow all ICD-10 Official Guidelines and have knowledge of risk adjustment validation. The Risk Adjustment Coder will validate HCCs based on project specifications; implement feedback to ensure best coding practices; and maintain quality and production standards. The ideal individual will have experience with multiple models in risk adjustment capture, including CMS-HCC and ACA. This position is 100% remote and W2 status. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Capture/validate ICD-10-CM risk adjustment codes as applicable. 

  • Receive and implement feedback to ensure quality standards are maintained.  

  • Meet or exceed quality and production standards as required.  

 

Requirements: 

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in risk adjustment coding using CMS-HCC. 

  • Experience with multiple risk models (CMS, ACA, etc.) preferred.  

  • CRC required; additional CCS or CPC preferred.  

  • Ability to shift between guidelines per project needs.  

  • Experience with Excel, EMRs, and Encoders. 

  • Computer skills proficiency – MS Windows, MS Office (including Excel), Teams, Internet, etc. 

  • High Speed Internet access. 

 

Skills Needed: 

  • Knowledge of ICD-10-CM guidelines and risk adjustment methodologies.  

  • Reliability and determination to meet standards as expected.  

  • Discipline and dedication to succeed while working remotely with minimal oversight.
