I have worked my entire career in healthcare. My background encompasses HIM, coding, and nursing, and later CDI, education and consulting. I am a graduate of Penn State University and Drexel University. I have established CDI programs as a consultant, managed teams, and directed CDI departments for large academic medical systems.

But my passion is making a difference. The last several years I have worked on numerous projects to advance CDI education, growth, and awareness. I enjoy writing and speaking on coding, clinical documentation integrity, and quality. I am very involved in professional organizations including ACDIS and AHIMA, and served on the ACDIS advisory board from 2017-2020, writing industry white papers and guidance. I also founded the Central Pennsylvania ACDIS chapter.
